Personal and Professional Development

At UIC Extended Campus, we take pride in being an accessible educational resource for everyone in our community.

You do not have to be a registered UIC student or be seeking a degree to be part of the UIC family. We have many educational opportunities available for your professional development or for your personal enrichment.

We offer:

• bootcamps
• certificate programs
• credit course sequences

Individual Courses and Bootcamps are stand-alone educational offerings. Some are online and some are on-campus. Some are credit and some are non-credit.

Credit courses benefit working professionals who are seeking continuing education credits, career advancement, are preparing for entry into a degree program, or who must meet requirements to maintain an existing professional credential.

Some individual courses are stackable, meaning they can be applied toward a multi-course certificate program or degree program.

Course credit from Stackable Certificate Programs can be applied to an affiliated Master's program. Stackable certificate programs can be online, on-campus, or a blend of online and on-campus.

Credit Course Sequences are groups of courses in select professional areas that, taken together, can be applied toward an Illinois State Board of Education approval or endorsement, or can be applied toward other professional credentials.
