Illinois Elementary Math Specialist Project
The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, & Computer Science and the Learning Sciences Research Institute at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), in partnership with DePaul University and University of Chicago, are part of the Illinois Elementary Mathematics Specialist Project that is focused on increasing the mathematical content and pedagogical content knowledge for teachers in grades 3-5, and developing their tools and skills to become math teacher leaders in their building. The project includes a 5-course program of study that prepares elementary teachers to work as specialists as either a lead teacher or a specialist teacher.
These courses are open to a select group of approved teachers. To see if you qualify for enrollment, please contact Alison Superfine by e-mail at email@example.com.
Currently, no courses are being offered for this program in 2021-2022.
