Learning Behavior Specialist II Program
The Department of Special Education offers coursework leading to a Learning Behavior Specialist II certificate for special education teachers who have an Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist I certificate and who seek to develop specialized knowledge and skills. This program prepares participants to design, implement and evaluate instructional programs for special education students based on their specialty. The department offers six ISBE approved certificates in LBS II: behavior intervention specialist, transition specialist, multiple disabilities specialist, curriculum adaptation specialist, assistive technology specialist and bilingual specialist.
