Comments: This course is part of the Department of Disability and Human Development’s Certificate in Assistive Technology. Although you do not have to be a participant in the certificate program to take this course, students interested in applying it towards the Certificate in Assistive Technology are encouraged to visit the department’s website. Description: This is a fully online course that focuses on the designs and features of powered wheelchairs for children and adults with physical disabilities.  Power seat functions, assessment, access methods, electronics, programming and applicable research are also covered.
