Comments: This course is part of the Department of Disability and Human Development’s Certificate in Assistive Technology. Although you do not have to be a participant in the certificate program to take this course, students interested in applying it towards the Certificate in Assistive Technology are encouraged to visit the department’s web site. Description: Explores a range of tool features, specific products, and training strategies to support active participation and learning in educational settings for students ages 3-22 with high and low incidence disabilities. Course Information: Extensive computer use required. Recommended Background: Experience working in special education as an educator, paraprofessional or related service provider (e.g., OT, PT, SLP).
