DHD 590 – Field Experience in Disability and Human Development

To take this course, please complete the following steps to register for DHD Fieldwork 590

  1. Fill out an independent study form requesting approval to take 590.
  2. The requests are then forwarded to the DHD 590 instructor, Rebecca Miller, who will verify eligibility for DHD 590.
  3. If eligible, ATCP faculty will provide the override and email the student with further registration instructions.

DHD 590 – Field Experience in Disability and Human Development

Tuition/Fees: $520 per semester credit hour tuition.

Comments: This course is a required part of the Department of Disability and Human Development’s Certificate in Assistive Technology. Students must be admitted to the certificate program to register for this course. Students interested in applying for admission to the Certificate in Assistive Technology are encouraged to visit the department’s web site. There, you can find information about applying for the program as well as information about the courses that are part of the certificate. Description: Opportunities for guided experience working with agencies, families, and persons with disabilities providing concrete, practical applications of concepts and principles of disability and human development. Prerequisite(s): DHD 401 and DHD 415; or consent of the instructor. Class Schedule Information: To be properly registered, students must enroll in one Discussion/Recitation and one Practice.

Prerequisites: Course offered to Graduate ONLY; DHD 440, 6 credit hours of DHD-AT course work, and one of the following assessment courses in the student’s chosen Area of Focus (DHD 441, DHD 554, DHD 555, DHD 566, DHD 569).
